The Event
We recently had the pleasure of catering a truly special joint 50th birthday celebration in Gerrards Cross, hosted at a beautiful private home. The clients created an unforgettable setting with a stunning marquee dressed in bold hot pink décor, giving the whole event a vibrant and fun atmosphere. A fully stocked bar took centre stage, and our team was on hand throughout the evening to keep drinks flowing smoothly. We served freshly made mojitos alongside a selection of beers, wines, and spirits, as well as a wide range of soft drinks, ensuring there was something for every guest to enjoy. The relaxed yet lively atmosphere made it a fantastic night for everyone involved.
The Food
The food offering was just as memorable. Guests were welcomed with a selection of classic canapés, including courgette fritters with garlic and lemon aioli, Yorkshire puddings filled with roast beef and horseradish, smoked salmon with dill and Dijon cream cheese on blinis, and sticky satay chicken skewers. Following this, we served a generous hot fork buffet featuring cheesy lasagne, fragrant Thai chicken curry, and a hearty vegan three-bean chilli. These were accompanied by steamed rice, herby tabbouleh with pomegranate, a heritage tomato salad, and a fresh green leaf salad. To complement the meal, we also provided a variety of extras including salsa, tortilla crisps, cheese, and prawn crackers. For dessert, guests enjoyed gooey chocolate brownies and delicate pavlovas. The hosts also supplied a chocolate fountain with strawberries and marshmallows, which we were more than happy to prepare and present—always glad to lend a helping hand and go above and beyond to make the event truly special.
