Afternoon Tea – Amersham

On a cold, rainy day in Amersham, we had the privilege of catering for a funeral reception at a local village hall, providing a comforting afternoon tea for 120 guests as they gathered to remember and celebrate the life of a loved one.

The family chose our Premium Afternoon Tea, featuring a generous selection of freshly prepared sandwiches, delicious homemade cakes and our homemade scones, generously topped with cream and jam.

Our afternoon tea was beautifully presented, creating an inviting spread for guests to enjoy while spending time together, sharing memories and catching up with family and friends.

With the rain pouring outside, a warming cup of tea or coffee was particularly welcome! Keeping 120 guests topped up with hot drinks was certainly a challenge, but our team worked hard to keep the tea and coffee flowing throughout the reception.

Alongside the hot drinks, we also served Prosecco, sparkling elderflower and orange juice, all kindly supplied by the family.

Taking care of the little details

Funeral receptions can be an emotional time, and our aim is always to make the catering as straightforward and stress-free as possible for the family. From preparing the food to serving drinks and looking after guests, our team was on hand throughout, allowing everyone to focus on being together.

It was a pleasure to provide a welcoming afternoon tea on such a grey and rainy day, and we hope our homemade food and warm hospitality brought a little comfort to everyone attending.
