Recently, we had the privilege of providing catering for a beautiful family wake at Marlow Rowing Club, celebrating the life of a much-loved mother, grandmother, wife and friend.
The family wanted to create a warm, relaxed gathering where family and friends could come together, share memories and celebrate a life well lived. They chose our Luxury Afternoon Tea, which proved to be the perfect choice for such an occasion.
Our afternoon tea menu included a delicious selection of freshly prepared finger sandwiches, smoked salmon bagels and Mediterranean quiches, alongside an irresistible range of homemade cakes and sweet treats. Guests enjoyed mini cupcakes, rich chocolate tarts, tangy lemon curd tarts and plenty of other homemade favourites, all beautifully presented and ready for everyone to enjoy.
The atmosphere throughout the afternoon was warm and welcoming, with family and friends able to spend quality time together over great food in a peaceful setting.
The bar was expertly managed by the team at Marlow Rowing Club, whose friendly and attentive staff helped make the afternoon run smoothly. The venue itself is a wonderful choice for smaller wake receptions and family gatherings. Its balcony offers what must be one of the finest views over the River Thames in Marlow, providing a calm and picturesque backdrop for remembering a loved one.
