Finger Buffet – Speen

The Event

For this event we were honoured to cater a wake held at Sefton Barn at The Horse Trust in Speen, where we are proud to be one of the venue’s preferred caterers. Our team arrived well before the guests to ensure everything was perfectly prepared. We carefully set up all of the drinks purchased by the customer, chilling them in ice buckets so they were ready to serve. Every glass was polished and the plates were neatly arranged, creating a welcoming and organised space. By the time guests began to arrive, everything was in place and our team was ready to welcome them with a drink, helping to create a calm and respectful atmosphere for friends and family to come together and remember their loved one.

The Food

For the food, the family chose a traditional finger buffet, offering guests a selection of freshly prepared items that were both comforting and easy to enjoy while socialising. The buffet included freshly made finger sandwiches, warm sausage rolls, mini sausages, and vegetarian spring rolls served with sweet chilli sauce. Alongside the savoury options, we also provided tomato, mozzarella and basil skewers for a fresh, light bite. To finish, guests could enjoy a selection of sweet treats including scones with jam and cream, homemade lemon drizzle loaf, and mini cupcakes. The buffet provided a balanced mix of savoury and sweet options, allowing guests to help themselves throughout the gathering.
