The Event
We recently had the pleasure of catering for a truly special celebration at a beautiful private home in Radnage. The gardens had been transformed with a stunning marquee and stylish bar area, which we were delighted to run using the drinks selected by the hosts. With glorious sunshine throughout the day, elegant decorations, and such a warm atmosphere, it was the perfect setting for a 60th birthday celebration. The biggest surprise of all came during the event, when the couple announced that they had actually got married the day before — such an exciting and heartfelt moment that made the occasion even more memorable. We felt incredibly lucky to be part of such a joyful celebration.
The Food
Guests were welcomed with a selection of canapés including sticky satay chicken, wild mushroom arancini, sticky teriyaki sausages, and smoked salmon with dill cream cheese blinis. As the event was designed as a relaxed standing reception, we served our homemade Cornish-style pasties — lovingly made in Buckinghamshire — in individual paper bags, making them easy for guests to enjoy while mingling. We also included vegan options to cater for dietary requirements. To finish, guests enjoyed our gooey chocolate brownies from the dessert table, served alongside slices of the couple’s celebration cake, which we cut and presented for them during the evening.
