Three Course meal- Great Hampden

The Event

This event was a celebration of an 80th birthday, marked by a formal three-course sit-down meal shared among close family and friends. It was held at the stunning Hampden House in Great Hampden, a historic and picturesque estate nestled in the heart of the Buckinghamshire countryside. While the main house is grand and elegant, our gathering took place in the beautifully converted barn — a more intimate, yet equally charming venue. With its exposed beams, warm lighting, and rustic elegance, the barn provided the perfect setting for a relaxed and memorable evening.

The Food

Guests were treated to a delicious and indulgent menu, beginning with a rich smoked salmon and asparagus mousse to start. For the main course, we served spinach and Parmesan-stuffed chicken, accompanied by a creamy tarragon sauce, green beans, herby buttered new potatoes, and roasted vine tomatoes — a truly comforting and flavourful dish. To finish, a beautifully presented trio of desserts delighted everyone: zesty lemon mousse, delicate berry pavlovas, and a decadent triple chocolate torte. And if that wasn’t enough, we rounded off the meal with a tea and coffee service, accompanied by indulgent chocolate mints — the perfect final touch to a memorable dining experience.
